Tokyo-based crooner Chris Nelson (aka Nelson Schmelson) gives us a breezy and frisson-inducing performance, respectively, on “So Easy” & “The Night Light,” backed by bubbly bass, jangle pop guitars and disco drums from LA-based Josh Lundquist (aka Toby Glider).

“So Easy” also features keys from E. Live, glittering across the track like Bob James in an electric schooner.

They have collaborated overseas for years, and the carefree yet melancholy notes can be felt from west to east. A true blue-eyed soul meets low-slung disco gem, with some adult-oriented yacht funk peppered in.
